What is a Guardian Home?
Join Our Guardian Home Program – A Special Opportunity
At Canary Pawlm Doodles, our breeding dogs are more than just part of our program they are beloved members of our family. We are committed to giving each of our dogs the love, care, and attention they deserve while continuing to responsibly expand our program with the highest quality Goldendoodles. To achieve this, we limit the number of dogs living in our home and instead offer a special Guardian Home Program to carefully selected families.
Through this program, you have the unique opportunity to receive a top-quality Goldendoodle puppy or adult dog at no cost, while we retain breeding rights. As a guardian, you’ll provide a loving, forever home, ensuring your dog’s physical, emotional, and financial well being. In return, we cover all breeding related expenses, and when the time comes, your dog will come back to us periodically to sire or whelp their litters. Once their breeding career is complete, full ownership is transferred to you, and they remain your cherished pet forever.
When you become a guardian for a female Goldendoodle, you play a crucial role in our breeding program while providing her with a loving forever home.
Here’s what to expect:
• Breeding Process: Once she reaches the appropriate age, passes all required health testing, and is ready to breed (typically during her second heat cycle), she will stay with us for a few days for the breeding process. Afterward, she will return home to you for the duration of her pregnancy, where you will continue providing her with love and care.
• Whelping and Raising Puppies: About a week before her due date, she will come back to us to whelp, nurse, and care for her puppies in a safe, comfortable environment. She will remain with us for 6-8 weeks per litter.
• Heat Cycle Management: As a guardian, you will need to monitor and recognize the signs of her heat cycles, notify us immediately when her cycle begins, and ensure she is kept away from intact male dogs during this time.
• Retirement & Forever Home: Our females typically retire after having 3-5 litters, as long as they remain healthy throughout pregnancy, whelping, and weaning. Once retired, we will cover the cost of her spay surgery, and she will remain with you as your beloved family pet for the rest of her life.

Males
Becoming a guardian for a male Goldendoodle allows you to enjoy the companionship of a top-quality dog while playing an important role in our breeding program.

• Breeding Process: Once he reaches optimal maturity and passes all necessary health testing, he will stay with us for a few days at a time when needed for breeding. Males typically sire several litters per season.
• Stud Services: Occasionally, he may also be needed for stud services with approved outside breeding programs.
• Management and Care: Guardian families must ensure their male dog is kept away from intact female dogs in heat to prevent unplanned breedings.
